A game changer in construction layouts! We experienced the extraordinary power of the HP SitePrint at our UpperRoom Church project in Dallas. In just one day, SitePrint laid out 15,000 sqft of wall layouts, wall-type tags, AV receptacles, fire protection hangers and heads, door swings, door tags, and even the hardware schedule. Our VDC Interns got an up-close look at this revolutionary technology and hands-on learning from our HP Partners. Would you use this on one of your projects?

  • Today marked a significant milestone as we gathered for the ribbon cutting ceremony at the SMU Cox School of Business project! RO has been entrusted with the construction of this ambitious endeavor, spanning 220,000 SF of renovation and expansion. We have completed 18 projects for Southern Methodist University with the Cox School of Business making 19. Designed by GFF to seamlessly integrate with the historic Georgian SMU campus, this includes a comprehensive overhaul of the Joseph M. Wylie Fincer, Trammell Crow, and Cary M. Maguire buildings, alongside the addition of a new 65,000 SF structure. Pony up!

Check out this insightful case study conducted by our very own Dr. Hagen Fritz (R&D Engineer) and @James Holmes (R&D Manager) on Navigating Embodied Carbon in Construction. With several clients directly approaching us with questions about this topic, it's become essential for us to be well-informed about what embodied carbon is and how it influences our buildings. • RO San Antonio had a blast celebrating Fiesta, San Antonio's iconic party, with a purpose! 🌸🎉 Fiesta is a week-and-a-half-long celebration benefiting local charities and nonprofits. The River Parade and Battle of Flowers parade are just two of the amazing events that unite the San Antonio community. One of our favorite traditions is the collecting of Fiesta Medals! We handed out our custom RO Fiesta Medals at our highest attended Trade Partner event to ensure we started Fiesta right. It was an incredible opportunity to connect, celebrate, and strengthen our bonds within the community. Our medal featured our new safety helmets with a spinning RO logo, representing our dedication to safety. What was your favorite Fiesta moment?!

  • In the heart of Austin’s West Campus, our 30-story high-rise harnesses the power of three-dimensional prefabricated panels. This method uses CAD-driven planning to adhere to the architecturally undulating façade, with panels that vary from 13-inch projections to 1.5-inch depths. Each panel is engineered to meet the highest standards for precision, durability, and sustainability. Our partnership with iWallTech by Galindo & Boyd Wall Systems melds advanced digital design with meticulous engineering. The strategic use of prefabricated panels, produced in a controlled environment, has significantly reduced on-site construction time. It has also enhanced the precision of the build. Rigorous inspections and testing ensured that each panel adhered to strict quality standards, crucial for ensuring structural integrity and environmental sustainability. These panels were designed to interlock seamlessly, which minimized the need for on-site adjustments and expedited the assembly process. This project also highlights a commitment to sustainability, focusing on the energy efficiency of the panels, which exceed energy codes thanks to their thickened insulation. From organizing the logistics of material transportation to managing the detailed on-site assembly, every phase of this project has focused on precision.
