This course is a two day class of Intermediate Rigging principles and concepts with an emphasis on practical applications. Upon satisfactory completion of this course, students will have been presented a technical working knowledge of but not limited to the following: requirements to lift personnel, determine sling stress, basic elements of a lift plan, load charts, calculate center of gravity, select appropriate slings(s) for a particular load, move load laterally using jacks, hoists skids and rollers, wire rope construction, allowable working load of wire rope, wire rope inspection, replacement criteria, maintenance procedures, methods of reeving wire
ropes on multi-part lines, D\d ratio, crane assembly and disassembly, boom components, boom and jib erection, types of cranes, crane components and boom attachments, crane leverage, factors affecting lifting capacities, critical lifts, effects of load movements on measured radius, and submerged lifts.
