The AIA documents, possibly the most widely recognized and utilized construction procurement document platform in the construction industry, have just been revised as a part of the AIA’s practice of publishing new editions every ten years. The new documents have changes in both format and in a number of key clauses. This seminar will go over the key changes and discuss possible risks and legal ramifications to the contractor working under the 2017 Edition of the various construction contract forms, as well as possible alternatives.
